The promised Xiahou Dun progress photo  
This is a subpar hurried photo that needs umpty disclaimers about how much better the costume will look with knee-high boots and a longer belt that doesn't squish the surcoat weirdly. What the heck...it's really not bad, so I'll publicly post it anyway. Funny story: Randy tied the twill tape drawstring in the pants very tightly and I had to cut it so he could remove them. D'oh. At least I'd been meaning to replace the tape with a real drawstring (and I bought some recently), so it's not a big deal.

The surcoat and pants are done. The pointy sash needs a fancy metal plate to go over the very end.

You did a very nice job of making the patterns match on the pants! I am impressed!
