Another kitty picture
I realized that I never posted the picture of Chester flopping in that adorable way that says "I'm spoiled. I have plush fur. Pet me. You know you wanna." So without further ado...

Oh, and don't you hate it when you're frickin' tired earlier in the evening, so you pass out on the couch and think you've been asleep for most of the night, when it was only 2 1/2 hours, but it's still enough to make you wake up when you're supposed to be going to bed? And, as a super fun happy special bonus, that nap is full of bizarre and worrisome dreams? Bah.

Waaah! You guys certainly raised them into affectionate, lovable cats. Can't wait to see them again!

My dreams tend to reflect my worst fear and paranoia. Every time I wake up from one, I try to tell myself that the worst has already happened in the dream so it won't in real life. Disorienting and disturbing, nonetheless. So I go hug Ernie or Rosie (the cat, not person) and tell myself that everything is ok.

After pulling 24 hours straight at work one day/night/day, I had to drive 2 hours to meet my then significant other (this was, oh, 8 years ago). On the way, I nearly went off the road falling asleep, so I pulled over at a rest stop and took a nap.

When I woke up, I swore I had been asleep all night and that it was now 6AM as opposed to 6PM, so upon arriving at the home of said significant other, I let myself in quietly and apologized for not arriving 'last night'. She looked at me as though I were nuts and proceeded to tell me what the date was.

Yeah, I was a little out of it.

Speaking of cats, I think we're going to get a 2nd. One that actually likes people (though I enjoy Magnolia's fierce sense of independence and entitlement).
