I've been in a visual mood for the past several months - lots o' drawing, not much writing. After a long break and a load of do-overs, I finished this black and white illustration of Cao Ren and Lu Meng chilling out together. Click for full size.
Then I started to color it. You can click this one as well.
And then I wrote a basic tutorial on that patterning technique. Sharing is caring and all. I may have to put up a sequel when I finish the rest of the coloring: shade, highlight, painting metal (easy when it comes to simple stuff like flat trim and boot cuffs - a real pain as applied to those lion heads on Lu Meng's armor).
Speaking of Dynasty Warriors, #7 is on its way and I've been all over the available tidbits of information. I also wrote up my hopes for the series, as it has so much potential for excellence that hasn't even been sneezed at. I'm not as hopeful after the most recent round of released designs, but I'll save that for another entry.
Life's still good. I'm still lifting weights. In other news, the Pope shits in the woods. I'm up to weighted chin-ups and dips now. Hercules! Hercules! Hercules!
