So I scanned in the character cards from the Musou Orochi: Maou Sairin Premium Box.

All 91 of them.

I cleaned up assorted inevitable scanning weirdness as well as I could. The card corners are slightly bent from the packaging, and that scans as an obvious white line. The Photoshop clone tool is my new best friend.

I've been on a DDR 5th Mix kick for this entire past week, hence the music selection. For some reason, it makes both work and card cleanup go much faster. It's also perfect for the sunshiney weather.

Gentlemen, behold! Corn! Uh, I mean cards.

It's all good. Although the English voice actors started correctly pronouncing his name as T'sao T'sao, I still call him Moo Squared.

And then there's Cao Pi, whose name is delightful to mispronounce.

He has an interesting move set that I haven't really gotten the hang of yet. It involves assorted blue bubbles of pain. You can probably find some video of him on YouTube.

Looks like a lot of the art is unchanged from SW2/DW5, with a few exceptions. As in Diao Chan, whose expression seems to gently ask the question, "Is this some kind of bust?" (the answer is "Yes, it's very impressive, but we're here on business." Points to anybody who gets that reference).

And I'm glad to see Nu Wa back, hoping she still has the pokeity-stabbity musou rapier of death.

She does have the rapier. And it freezes people now. She also has a special that shrinks enemies. I'm not sure if enemies take extra damage when shrunk or whatnot, but either way, it's fun to play with. I don't know how powerful her musou is, though. Just like in the original WO, I've mainly used musou for chaining amusement (splash screen faces FTW) and getting my ass out of trouble.
