We're getting our living room drywall done next week. Huzzah. Even though the room won't be painted for some time (I still have to test the paint sample I bought...feh...me lazy), it will be awesome to have an actual non-sucky fireplace wall.

November is close enough that I've been thinking about doing NaNoWriMo again. Last year, I found out about it a week late, decided that I'd try out a horror story idea that I'd thought of a couple of years back and never managed to get off the ground, and wound up finishing a rough draft of a novel I called Resonance. For something I wrote in three weeks with nothing to go on but an opening scene and a small piece of backstory, it wasn't that bad...and for the past few months, I've been turning it into a much improved second draft. At any rate, I have another story idea. The rules of NaNoWriMo permit planning (you just can't write any actual novel), so I tried kicking it around a bit and seeing if I could think of any backstory, anywhere it could proceed without being completely stupid. And I got some ideas. I'm also working past an annoying sticking point in my Resonance revision. Long spoiler-free story short - I decided to completely redo the later events, and I have some ideas for various things that happen, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to connect said things together. Time to start writing out of sequence again! Yaaaaaaaay!

Heh. I haven't written IN sequence in my life.
