The inside of my mouth feels fine. My chipmunk cheek is anywhere from uncomfortably swollen to sore. At least I got to eat some real food today. I'm not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. I'm also not looking forward to staying out of the gym for the next few days. I know I'm not going to go all Stay-Puft in such a short period of time, but it's still annoying. At least it will give me an excuse to play with my dress form, which just arrived. That will be a major help in patterning the collar for my armor (which I doofed up the first time...oops).

To make a long story short because I'm not done gathering my spoiler-free thoughts - Silent Hill isn't the worst movie I've ever seen, but I thought it was a pile of meh overall. I liked the visuals and the music from the games (though it was awkwardly placed at times), but the movie didn't set a properly creeped-out, foreboding atmosphere, and its exposition was uneven. I wish I could make everyone responsible for Silent Hill watch Jacob's Ladder Clockwork Orange-style. Someone spoiled the very end of Jacob's Ladder for me before I got to see it, but it was still compelling, suspenseful, and creepy. It built up well, developed the characters, gave me a reason to care about the lead, had a consistent backstory revealed in bits to be pieced together, and left enough ambiguity to be interesting on subsequent viewings.

Chester is a sleepy curl on my desk. He just chirped at me.
