I saw my wedding gown! Yaaaaay!
Well, I went to Clarissa Boutique for a gown fitting, and all I can say is DAAAAAMN. I thought it was just going to be a muslin mockup, but they actually had it cut and sewn from the actual black satin, and even though it needs to be boned (huh huh huh) and properly fit to the curves of my torso, it looks mad spiffy already. I have a full-length pic of me in it, and I'll post it as soon as I get it off the digicam. It will have a short-to-medium train and a bit of embellishments (we decided on some beaded trim around the neckline and bottom of the skirt), but overall, it's a nice simple dress. After the wedding, I can even have the train cut so I'll have an outfit in case I ever wind up at the opera or something.

(BTW, for those who don't know, the current music is going to be my processional, and it will be performed on the church organ by a truly awesome organist. Yay for dark, grand, baroque pieces.)
Current Mood: peacefulpeaceful
Current Music: J.S. Bach - Toccata and Fugue in D Minor

Instead of cutting the train off, you might want to get buttons put on the train, and some button loops on the lower back of your dress so you can just hook the train up there. It makes a really neat "bustle" effect.

I can't wait to see pictures!

Oh, also..how are you going to do your hair? Since you're going for a gothic theme, I can't wait to see how everything looks together :D
