Time for some shameless bragging
I put another coat of paint on the pauldron's triangles and white ring, and now it's for-real done and ready for its clear coat. I also unpacked my cheetah fur to take a look at it, and was I ever impressed. Swatches do not do it justice. Of course, you can tell that the color is rich and that there's a sheen to the fur, but you don't see that the background varies in subtle stripes. It really is worth it to pay the $25/yd price for the good fake fur. I just had to take a picture of both...and I notice that when photographed, the fur pattern and color look quite accurate, which is always a bonus. ^_^

That looks awesome!

I am also loving the leopard print in the background.

I'm probably going to have some fabric left over...I bought a ton of it because I'd rather have lots extra in case of screw-ups than run out in the middle of working on the costume. You might want to check out the online store I got it from - they have tons of other neato fur, too, and as long as you place your order by the end of March, you'll get 25% off. Fabric sales = teh w00tness.
