More feline goodness
This piece of furniture is actually a rather expensive wooden scratching post that I thought Chester might like because he has a tendency to pound on doors. The cats pretty much ignored it until we moved it underneath the basement window at the front of the house. At least they enjoy sitting up there, so I'm happy because they are. ^_^

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that!

Heh...now that I look at the picture again, they do resemble a depiction of Cerberus or some other mythological creature. That photo might make a good source for a kitty Photoshop. =P

They're adorable!

Thanks! ^_^ You should come up soon and see them again. Chester will hide until he gets used to your presence, but Cookie is a total sweetheart even if she doesn't know or remember someone very well.

Awww... (would pinch cheeks, if cats had pinchable ones)

Although it's better that they scratch up an expensive scratching post then make something expensive THEIR scratching post, no? ;)

That was the point. =P Since Chester likes to paw at doors, I thought that maybe he wanted to scratch something wooden. (They already have two sisal rope scratching posts, and they use them happily and often, but wood has a different feel to it.) What I was trying to say is that they didn't do anything with the post when we first got it, so it's good that we found a way for them to get some enjoyment from it. ^_^

wow
adorable cats.

what kind of cat treats do they like?
The Heavy Metal Matador: frylockrydain on February 21st, 2004 12:25 pm (UTC)
Thanks! ^_^

We usually give them dried salmon flakes or Nutro treats (I forget what flavor we have). Sometimes we just give them treats...sometimes it's a bribe to get them to stand up on their haunches. It's just so adorable when cats sit up like people. ^_^
