Workouts - 1/5 to 1/12

1/5

Cardio - About half an hour of DDR practice with my new pad. It works pretty well, but I want to mod it to make the arrows more sensitive...assuming that it works after the Suckass Basement Flood of 2004. (Long story short: the radiator in the garage froze and burst, and the drain in there doesn't work. At least the basement drain does what it's supposed to, so nothing really got hurt. I hope.)

1/6

Chin-up - 1, 1, 1 (the intensity is supposed to be fairly low, so I stopped when they started to get difficult)
Squat - 5 @ 45, 5 @ 70, 5 @ 95, 3 @ 100
Good morning - 8 @ 45, 8 @ 50, 8 @ 55 (more challenging than I expected them to be)
Incline press - 5 @ 45, 5 @ 55, 3x5 @ 65 (ditto - I hadn't done these in quite a while)

1/7

Cardio - 30-minute elliptical trainer "run" intended to be moderate-high intensity. According to the machine, I managed to go just over 3 miles.

1/9

Speed squat - 2x2 @ 70, 3x2 @ 75, 3x2 @ 85
Bench press - 5 @ 45, 5 @ 65, 5 @ 85, 3 @ 90 (blergh - I hate being weak after a layoff)
Military press - 8, 7, 6 @ 45
Bent-over BB row - 5 @ 45, 5 @ 65, 3x5 @ 85

1/11

Speed bench press - 2x2 @ 45, 3x2 @ 50, 3x2 @ 55
Chin-up - 1, 2, 1, 2, 1 (w00t)
Dumbbell row - 8 @ 25, 2x8 @ 30 (easy)
Front squat - 5 @ 45, 5 @ 55, 3x5 @ 65 (just for fun, I hang cleaned the bar into place for the first two sets)

1/12

Cardio - HIIT on the elliptical trainer (15-second sprints, 45-second low-intensity recovery periods). I managed ten sprints by not going all out during some of them, but I certainly didn't slack off either. On the easier sprints, I'd do ~260 watts instead of over 300. I made myself go at full intensity during the last two, though. Boy, was I ever zonked when I got home. o_O

Thanks! ^_______^

You and Stef rock for going out jogging. It's great exercise, and it sounds like it's a lot ot fun for you guys. I want to start jogging outside again when the weather is no longer cold and sucky. At least I can use the elliptical thingy right now - it really does feel as natural as running, and I don't have to freeze my arse off or anything. =P
