Wow! A site update!
It's small...but it counts. I'm glad I bought a bunch of peacock feathers after all, as I messed up several in the process of decorating my weapons. I don't have any satisfactory way of prettying up the petal fans, so I'll just leave them alone until I figure it out. My preferred option is to buy baby peacock eyes, which exist but are rather difficult to find, and decoupage them on. At least the weapons will look perty for Otakon. Anyway, now the entire internets can learn from my mistakes!

A short tutorial on decoupaging feathers

Aw, thankies! It actually doesn't take that long because the glue dries quickly. I'm really happy with the results. I don't know if I'll be able to put up any pictures before I leave, but I'll definitely have a bunch of them after I get back!

heeee, i can't wait to see them after you get back. GEEZ i'm so jealous; i know several people who are making otakon this year and it's making me sooooo sad ;_______;
i so want to try to maybe make it again with you next year or maybe another larger con. i will have a couple new outfits by then; maybe i can even do yue ying with you; aaaaaa! dw-love <3 <3
i'm also considering hitting a con before thanksgiving - since i have that week off (even tho thar doesn't). he's not so into the cosplay thing anyway. i wonder if there are any to choose from around then; i'll have to look into it.
